Foreign Exchange Related Challenges Facing Businesses

The Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) acknowledges the prevailing challenges businesses and the public in general are facing that are arising from the scarcity of foreign exchange on the market. This position stems from the mounting demand for imports, against a decline in foreign exchange inflows into the country following reduced revenues from export of goods and services, development partners, remittances, foreign direct investment and other sources.
