MCCCI decorates best exhibitors at the MITF

Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) honored best exhibitors at the official opening of this year’s Malawi International Trade Fair (MITF) today.

The prizes were conferred to the successful exhibitors by State President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, who graced the occasion.

Electricity Generation Company (EGENCO) was recognized as the Best Overall Exhibitor for exemplifying excellence in its participation at the Fair.

The Best Manufacturer Exhibitor award went to Raiply Malawi Limited, whereas Best International Exhibitor award went to Tanzania Port Authority.

Bantu Art and Crafts bagged the Best SME Exhibitor award while ADMARC walked away with the Best Service Provider Exhibitor award.

As part of the awards presentation ceremony, Malawi Investment Trade Centre also awarded successful exporters for 2023 in the following categories: SMEs Exporter Award: Nali Limited, Non Traditional Exporter Award: Thyolo Nut Company, Female Exporter Award: Nali Limited, Youth Exporter Award: Dedza Pottery, Services Award: Sunbird Tourism Limited, Financial Institution Award: NBM Development Bank, Cooperative Award: Mzuzu Coffee, Emerging Exporter Award: Easy Pack Limited and Malawi Exporter of Year Award: Thyolo Nut Company.

The MITF is a yearly event aimed at promoting trade through exhibition and Business-to-Business meetings and takes place at the Chichiri Trade Fair Grounds in Blantyre, Malawi.

This year’s Fair which runs from 23rd to 29th May 2023 is being held under the theme Boosting Malawi’s Export Production through Enhanced Production
