Chancellor Kaferapanjira holds an M.Sc (Economic Management & Policy) (with distinction) from University of Strathclyde, specializing in Industrialisation, Trade and Economic Policy, an M.Sc (Strategic Management), from University of Derby, a B.Com (Business Administration) (with Credit) and a Diploma in Business Studies both from the University of Malawi, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is a member of various professional bodies and has attended various work related courses both within and outside Malawi.

Mrs. Madalitso Mandiwa Kazembe

Director, Business Environment & Policy Advocacy

Mrs Madalitso Mandiwa Kazembe has served as a Chief Economist in the Ministry of Finance for the Republic of Malawi. As Head of Financial Sector Policies in the Ministry, her responsibilities included monitoring financial sector policies, regulations and ensuring a conducive environment for a financial sector that is deep and inclusive. She has worked in formulating economic & fiscal policy as well. With over 13 years of experience in Macro-Fiscal policy Analysis, Financial Sector and Capital Markets Development.

Head, Accounting and Finance

Mr. Chimwemwe Luhanga joined MCCCI in 2009 and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Derby, Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Malawi. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Member of the Instutute of Accountants in Malawi (ICAM). He is a Chartered Accountant CA(MW)  and has 16 years experience in financial management acquired in the public, private and not-for-profit organisations. He sits on the boards of NICO Associated Pensions Trust and Chichiri Shopping Centre Limited.

Thokozani NjimaMs. Thokozani Tarisai Njima

Head, Real Sector and Macroeconomic Policy

Ms. Thokozani Njima is a Public Policy Practitioner who has worked in the field of industrial development with the Ministry of Industry and Trade for twelve years. Her experience in public sector includes progressively senior roles in influencing industry’s competitive rivalry and good performance through industrial development related policies and strategies. Specifically, her expertise is in industrialization, private sector development and trade. While working with the Ministry, Ms. Njima participated in the Netherlands Trainee Programme at the World Trade Organization (WTO) as Research Assistant and Tutor in the Aid-for-Trade and e-Learning Units, respectively. Her research covered various aspects of industrialization, trade facilitation and infrastructure financing. Prior to joining the Ministry of Industry and Trade, she briefly worked as Operations Manager for Village Hands Ltd (a community-based entity in natural honey and Baobab and Tamarind fruit juices business) and as Small Business Enterprise part-time Lecturer at the Polytechnic.

Ms. Njima has a Master of Philosophy in Industrial Policy (University of Johannesburg, South Africa), a Master of Public Policy (KDI School of Public Policy, Korea), a WTO Diploma in Trade Policy (WTO’s ITTC, Switzerland), and a Bachelor of Business Administration (the Polytechnic, Malawi). She also possesses other post-graduate qualifications in WTO Trade Negotiations, Export Promotion, Trade and Gender, Intellectual Property, Structured Markets through Commodity Exchanges, and Business Research Methods and Data Analysis, inter alia.

Mr. Tione Kafumbu holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration and Agri-food business from HAS University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. He holds more than 9 years’ experience in marketing. He previously served as a Marketing Manager in the telecommunications sector. As Marketing Manager, his responsibilities included driving customer usage and retention, revenue generation and customer communication. He joined MCCCI in February 2020.
